Message of the Ambassador of Japan

Japan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan established diplomatic relations in 1952. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the close and cordial relationship shared by Japan and Pakistan and I am very happy that the bilateral relations between our two countries have strengthened over the years. As an Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, my priority is to further develop and deepen our long standing and warmly cherished mutual cooperation.

JICA’s training program for government sector has been contributing toward capacity building of Pakistani officers, and I am delighted to see that JICA is offering a platform to their alumni. JAAP network will help the returnees in connecting with each other and promoting inter-cultural exchange.

I am sure that JICA will continue to offer such training opportunities to more Pakistani people. I actively support such programs which encourage the communities of Japan and Pakistan to further deepen each other’s knowledge and understanding. I am determined to make utmost efforts to further promote and expand the Japan-Pakistan relationship with JICA’s support. Thank you very much.
